  • Day 1

Arrival – Domestic flights from Jodhpur, Jaipur, Mumbai and Delhi connect with Udaipur. The Dabok airport or Maharana Pratap Airport is 20 km far from the town. Direct trains to Udaipur runs on broad gauge or meter gauge from many cities. Luxury trains, Palace on Wheels, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, Maharaja Express and The Indian Maharaja have Udaipur on their plan. Buses running on National Highway 76, EW corridor or Golden Quadrilateral connect the city appropriately to and from other cities.

You will receive a warm welcome at hotel and served breakfast and welcome drink. Then you will be taken on city tour.

City Palace: The grandeur of City Palace’s exquisite architecture enthralls visitors. The palace was developed by Maharana Udai Singh on the eastern bank of Pichhola Lake. The complex includes Vintage car museum, Maharani Palace, the crystal gallery, Daawat-i-Aam, and Daawat-i-Khas built at different times from 1559. They are worth a view. All these are accompanied with two palace hotels. Mewar Light and Sound Show is organized in evening which throws light on exoticism of Udaipur.

Pichhola Lake: This is a shallow, 4 km long and 3 km wide gorgeous lake. It is a man-made lake that is surrounded by many ghats. Boating in calm water and gondola ride on Mansapurna Karni Ropeway are vital activities that visitors should not miss. They can have best view of Udaipur from there. The lake houses two islands, namely, Jagniwas and Jagmandir.

Lake Palace: Lake Palace is a palace turned hotel on the Jagniwas Island. Maharaja Jagat Singh II built massive sculpted architectural marvel. Aravalli Hills offers nice backdrop to this elegant Palace. The setting is too romantic.

Jag Mandir: This is an interesting three-storied structure situated on Jagmandir Island of Pichhola Lake. Impressive marble statues of caparisoned elephants outside Jagmandir instantly grab the attention, even from far. The elegant structure encloses Gul Mahal, Kunwar Pada ka Mahal, a garden courtyard, Darikhana, Barah Patharon ka Mahal and the Zenana Mahal. Shah Jahan took shelter in Jagmandir during revolt against his father. Jagmandir also has a restaurant which is supervised by HRH group of hotels.

Bagore Ki Haveli: Built in the late 18th century, Bagore ki haveli located at Gangaur Ghat of Lake Pichhola is architectural wonder. The haveli has more than 100 mirror festooned rooms, courtyards and terraces. It is restored into a museum and indeed a joy to walk through. Opportunity to have a look at the fascinating lifestyle of royal family makes you feel the timeless richness. World’s biggest collection of Turbans can be seen here. Tourists enjoy music and dance show at courtyard in the evening.


  • Day 2

Sajjangarh Palace: Sajjangarh or the Monsoon Palace is a brilliant edifice that perch on hill.  The palace is located 9 km from Udaipur. It was resting place of royal Mewars during monsoon. It is a famous sunset point and presents panoramic view of Udaipur. James Bond’s movie Octopussy featured Sajjangarh as villian’s home. One should also visit Sajjangarh Wildlife sanctuary nearby to add more fun to the trip.

Saheliyon ki Bari: This exquisite recreation area was constructed by Maharana Bhopal Singh to entertain forty-eight maids who accompanied the princess as a part of prevalent dowry ritual. Tourists get relaxed by the pleasant sights of water flowing from fountain, singing birds, calm water in lotus ponds, beautiful marble pavilions and elephants.

Moti Magri: Moti Magri is hill that overlooks Fatehsagar Lake. Moti Mahal and Maharana Pratap Memorial gained fame for the hill. Japanese Rock Garden there too is a place to see. Tourists can have spectacular view of the city and lake from height of hill. They can click memorable pictures to keep.
