In 2013, it was included in the list of Hill Forts of Rajasthan and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort is perched 1100 meters high. The periphery extending 36 miles gained the status of being second longest wall of the world after the Great Wall of China. The thick impregnable front walls enclose 300 Jain temples and 60 Hindu temples within the boundary. It is 15 feet broad. Kumbhalgarh has seven entrances that are equipped with weapons.
