  • Day1

    Arrival- The bustling town is connected with railway via meter gauge and broad gauge tracks. Travelling by the royal ‘Palace on Wheel’ is altogether a unique experience. Jodhpur is the nearest airport which is about 300 Km away. Jaisalmer is connected with well maintained roads from neighboring cities.

    Jaisalmer Fort: Jaisalmer Fort or ‘Sonar Quilla’ is milestone in Jaisalmer tourism. This is one of the largest forts, built in 1156 A.D. on Meru Hills. This thick walled structure interest tourists because it is a living fort, people still lives in it and also shops are located in it. The erstwhile royal residence also has a heritage centre and museum. The intricate detailing of Maharaja’s Palace within fort is very impressive. This five-storied architectural structure is gorgeous sight.

    Havelis: The architectural splendor of these havelis is enticing. Patwon ki Haveli is the largest, clustering five small havelis. Guman Chand Patwa laid foundation of it and took 55 years to complete. Almost 300 years old Salim Sigh ki haveli adorns arched Peacock roof. Nathmal ji ki haveli was a grand residence of once Prime Minister. Interestingly its construction started from two sides.

    Gadsisar Lake: This artificial lake was constructed by first ruler of Jaisalmer, Raja Rawal Jaisal and was only source of water for Jaisalmer people. Surrounding ghats and temples lets you hear sound of serenity.

    Bada Bagh: Head to Bada Bagh which is approximately 6 kms from town. It is frequented by tourists round the year. Beautiful carved chhatris or cenotaphs are must check out.

    Amar Sagar Lake: Amar Sagar Lake is a lake following Amar Singh palace. Maharawal Akhai Singh built this citadel in 17th century.

    Akal Wood Fossil Park: This fascinating park is spread in 21 hectares. It is a protected and preserved area as it has 180 million years old wood fossils.

    Day2

    Sightseeing Of memis monasteries (104 Kms / 5-6 hrs)- After Breakfast drive to visit the Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis monasteries and Stok Palace Museum. Packed or Hot Lunch will be provided. Return to Leh in the evening. Night In Leh.

    Day3

    Sam Sand Dunes: Start your second day early. You will be guided to the famous Sam sand dunes. It is the most exciting part of the excursion to visit vast area covered with golden sand mounds which is about 42 km from the city.

    Khuri Dunes: About 40 km on the outskirts of Jaisalmer town lays the Khuri Dunes. Desert tour is an ideal for visitors who want to enjoy camel ride as well as explore Rajasthani culture. Indeed, this is an offbeat place to see in Jaisalmer.

    Tanot Mata Temple: Tanot Mata temple located on India-Pakistan border is much revered place. The temple is glorified since the Indo-Pak war of 1965. Legend associated with it says, during the war when Pak army dropped bombs on the temple none of the bombs explode, it is believed that Tanot Mata held them in her hand. These live bombs are still seen in temple. The temple is under the supervision of Indian Army and one need to get special permission to visit temple.
